Kevin Edge is from Smithville, MS and earned a BS from Mississippi State in Social Studies Education, as well as a Masters of Arts in Theology and a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Kevin and his wife, Angie, have been blessed with four children, KK, Katch, King, and Kaptain.

Kevin was a head high school football coach when God saved him while attending LifePoint Church in Senatobia, MS in 2008. God began to channel all the passion Kevin had for football towards Himself, and Kevin became convinced that there are only two things that will last for eternity: the Word of God and the souls of men. Over several months Kevin confirmed that the burning desire he had to invest the rest of his life in these two things was God calling him to preach the Gospel full-time.

Kevin left a reasonably successful coaching career to serve at Hickory Grove Baptist in Tate County as Pastor of Students, followed by time serving at Pine Grove Baptist in Benton County as the Associate Pastor. Kevin then joined the church planting efforts at EastPoint Church in the Lewisburg community as the Teaching Pastor, overseeing discipleship, community groups, and preaching once a month. He began to pastor New Journey in August 2013 , and hopes planting and pastoring this church will be the final call of his life.
